The group has now settled into our new premises in Penninghame, and Pam has found a new corner for her gentle exercise group! Today we had an informative talk about fire safety, with a lively Q & A session afterward, and many of our members signed up to have a home visit to make sure their homes are safe and sound.
Member Rob Harford said:
“John gave a very interesting talk on fire safety in the home. He highlighted the importance of everyone having their own escape plan - in case of fire - and recommended a dummy run. Request forms for home visits and advice were made available for anyone in need of smoke detectors or to address specific worries. With a question and answer session afterwards, I think everyone came away a little wiser.”
