Port William Youth Group

It was a fine sunny evening when The Wii Roadshow hit Port William. The young members of the youth club enjoyed both Dancing and Playing Sports. They were also introduced into making their own fruit kebabs and sampling 7 different fruits. This went down very well and a great time was had by all.

Welcome to the Building Healthy Communities Machars Blogpage.

Building Healthy Communities in the Machars is part of a region wide programme and is a partnership of public, community and voluntary organisations that meet and work together in the Machars.

As part of the BHC programme, we work with local people, agencies and community groups to improve community resilience. We establish and deliver a range of health and wellbeing interventions, help people develop new skills, increase their knowledge and encourage and support individuals to become volunteers.

Machars Area Partnership is a community partnership whose aims are to promote health and wellbeing, providing an impact on health & quality of life.
Through joined up working, BHC intends to improve the health and capacity of all the community it serves.

Taking a community development approach, the partnership will empower volunteers & the wider community to improve their own health & social wellbeing.

Its our community; lets come together and work in partnership to build a safer, happier, healthier environment.
