Kirkinner Primary School - Healthy Lifestyles Consultation

Building Healthy Communities Machars were asked to carry out a Healthy Lifestyles Consultation by
by Wigtownshire CLD to contribute towards the healthy activities of the new Youth Group (the Kirkinner Monkeys) set up in partnership with Kirkinner Primary School.

The consultation took place in late May/early June, with 17 pupils involved.

Welcome to the Building Healthy Communities Machars Blogpage.

Building Healthy Communities in the Machars is part of a region wide programme and is a partnership of public, community and voluntary organisations that meet and work together in the Machars.

As part of the BHC programme, we work with local people, agencies and community groups to improve community resilience. We establish and deliver a range of health and wellbeing interventions, help people develop new skills, increase their knowledge and encourage and support individuals to become volunteers.

Taking a community development approach, the partnership will empower volunteers & the wider community to improve their own health & social wellbeing.
