Isle of Whithorn Younger Youth Group - Fruit Pizza

Last week, the younger members of the Isle of Whithorn youth group had a Fruit Pizza making session.

25 young people eagerly decorated their watermelon base with a variety of fruit and then proudly took them home to their parents/guardians.

This was a fun packed and fulfilling session with all children enjoying their results.

Well done to all and see you at the BBQ on the 29th June!!

Building Healthy Communities in the Machars is part of a region wide programme and is a partnership of public, community and voluntary organisations that meet and work together in the Machars.

As part of the BHC programme, we work with local people, agencies and community groups to improve community resilience. We establish and deliver a range of health and wellbeing interventions, help people develop new skills, increase their knowledge and encourage and support individuals to become volunteers.

Through joined up working, BHC intends to improve the health and capacity of all the community it serves.

Taking a community development approach, the partnership will empower volunteers & the wider community to improve their own health & social wellbeing.

Its our community; lets come together and work in partnership to build a safer, happier, healthier environment.
