The activity for the session was Healthy Cooking, where
Building Healthy Communities spoke about healthy sized portions of food and
then all the participants had an opportunity to cook a simple, yet nutritious,
one pan meal.
The meal was based around proteins in the form of Chicken
and Nuts, cooked with vegetables and orange juice. To add flavour, chilli and
soy sauce were used. The group then took this home and would have cooked some
noodles or rice as the main carbohydrate for their meal.
A great time was had by all!
The Monday club is open to all adults and runs every 1st
and 3rd Mondays of the month at Penninghame Church Hall from 10.00 –
