Laptop Heaven

WOW!! 11 people turned up for the first session of 2014 making it the busiest session since the start of the group some 2 years ago.

Help was at hand to all and some members were peer supporting. Next week is the re-scheduled i-pad session, but laptop support will also be available.

Welcome to the Building Healthy Communities Machars Blogpage.

Building Healthy Communities in the Machars is part of a region wide programme and is a partnership of public, community and voluntary organisations that meet and work together in the Machars.

As part of the BHC programme, we work with local people, agencies and community groups to improve community resilience. We establish and deliver a range of health and wellbeing interventions, help people develop new skills, increase their knowledge and encourage and support individuals to become volunteers.

Machars Area Partnership is a community partnership whose aims are to promote health and wellbeing, providing an impact on health & quality of life.
Through joined up working, BHC intends to improve the health and capacity of all the community it serves.

Taking a community development approach, the partnership will empower volunteers & the wider community to improve their own health & social wellbeing.

Its our community; lets come together and work in partnership to build a safer, happier, healthier environment.
