Confidence Building Course

Building Healthy Communities have been asked to set up and run a Confidence Building Course over the next 4 weeks. This is in conjunction with Community Learning and Development and Employability and Skills.

Courses are running in Newton Stewart, Whithorn and Stranraer.

If there is anyone interested in attending a similar course, then please contact the office.

Welcome to the Building Healthy Communities Machars Blogpage.

Building Healthy Communities in the Machars is part of a region wide programme and is a partnership of public, community and voluntary organisations that meet and work together in the Machars.

As part of the BHC programme, we work with local people, agencies and community groups to improve community resilience. We establish and deliver a range of health and wellbeing interventions, help people develop new skills, increase their knowledge and encourage and support individuals to become volunteers.

Through joined up working, BHC intends to improve the health and capacity of all the community it serves.

Taking a community development approach, the partnership will empower volunteers & the wider community to improve their own health & social wellbeing.

Its our community; lets come together and work in partnership to build a safer, happier, healthier environment.
