“Afore Ye Go”

Some of our members attended the financial planning event at the Riverside Centre last week entitled 'Afore Ye Go' hosted by Age Scotland.  This was an informative day with lots of really good information and advice about taking steps to putting our finances in place for every area of life including equity release and tax advice. Apparently only 40% of us make a will, and only 10% take out a Power of Attorney to cover our wellbeing and financial matters in the event of becoming incapacitated.   There were also tips on how to reduce the cost of putting our affairs in order.   Leaflets and other information from the event are available via our Whithorn office.
