Cooking Night – Kirkinner Youth Club

Last week saw the Chicken Fajita recipe make another outing, this time to Kirkinner. Unfortunately, only 3 young people were present, but that did not stop the enjoyment. The group were introduced to the “Love Food Hate Waste” campaign and enjoyed cooking and sampling something a little different!

Building Healthy Communities in the Machars is part of a region wide programme and is a partnership of public, community and voluntary organisations that meet and work together in the Machars.

As part of the BHC programme, we work with local people, agencies and community groups to improve community resilience. We establish and deliver a range of health and wellbeing interventions, help people develop new skills, increase their knowledge and encourage and support individuals to become volunteers.

Through joined up working, BHC intends to improve the health and capacity of all the community it serves.

Taking a community development approach, the partnership will empower volunteers & the wider community to improve their own health & social wellbeing.
