Last week, the officers of the Machars Area Partnership for Building Healthy Communities were hard at work preparing for an important meeting of all the Area Partnerships within BHC.

We thank them for all their hard work and dedication in assisting the local community to improve their Health and Wellbeing.

Welcome to the Building Healthy Communities Machars Blogpage.

Building Healthy Communities in the Machars is part of a region wide programme and is a partnership of public, community and voluntary organisations that meet and work together in the Machars.

As part of the BHC programme, we work with local people, agencies and community groups to improve community resilience. We establish and deliver a range of health and wellbeing interventions, help people develop new skills, increase their knowledge and encourage and support individuals to become volunteers.

Area Partnership Vision

Machars Area Partnership is a community partnership whose aims are to promote health and wellbeing, providing an impact on health & quality of life.
Through joined up working, BHC intends to improve the health and capacity of all the community it serves.

Taking a community development approach, the partnership will empower volunteers & the wider community to improve their own health & social wellbeing.

Its our community; lets come together and work in partnership to build a safer, happier, healthier environment.
