Monday Club

This week, 17 members of the Monday Club were entertained by the “Lowland Lassies” singing group. They sang a mixture of chorals songs and other compositions as well as getting the group to join in most of the songs! All agreed that the group were excellent and thoroughly entertaining. The Lowland Lassies meet at the Wigtown Baptist Church Hall every Wednesday afternoon. If you are interested in joining the group, or for further information, contact Anna on 01988 850354.

Esme’s newsletter this week highlighted the “See Hear” project, Tai Chi classes and information from Alzheimer’s Scotland as well as a beautiful anonymous poem. Dave mentioned the need for members to suggest activities for future sessions and some ideas were forthcoming. More are needed to fill the programme through the summer months.

The morning finished with an energising exercise session with Pam, in which 15 of the members participated, as well as 10 of the singing group!

The next meeting is on 17th March where Alan Whiteside is giving a talk.
